Шебалинский краеведческий музей

Муниципальное учреждение культуры, созданное в 2001 г. в с. Шебалино. Основой для формирования фондов послужили экспонаты, переданные из музея Шебалинской средней школы. Официальное открытие состоялось 6.11.2002 г. На основе музейных собраний сформированы экспозиции: «Из древнейшей истории Шебалинского района», «История сел района», «Зал боевой Славы». На территории музея построены: русская горница, где развернута экспозиция по русской этнографии и алтайский аил с традиционным внутренним убранством.
В фондах и экспозициях представлены около 3000 предметов основного фонда: естественнонаучные, археологические, этнографические, нумизматические коллекции, декоративно-прикладное искусство, фотодокументальные материалы.
Совместно с учеными Института алтаистики имени С. С. Суразакова издана книга «Шебалинский район: История. События. Люди». Кроме того, сотрудниками музея ежегодно выпускается «Календарь знаменательных и памятных дат района». Заведующая Серафима Ивановна Яжанкина.
